North
- Ride donkeys on Mt. Arbel. See stunning views of the entire Kinneret (Sea of Galilee).
- Beit Shean Nights. An amazing multi-sensory sound and light show at this 8th century site.
- “Poets and Pioneers” program at the Kinneret Cemetery on the shores of Lake Kinneret (the Sea of Galilee). Learn through poetry, song and storytelling, about the loves and lives of a handful of young idealists who left Eastern Europe one hundred years ago in order to lay the foundation for the Jewish state.
- Evening interactive group "darbuka" drumming lesson & performance by local musicians.
Tel Aviv Area
- Visit Rabin Square (Kikar Rabin), a large public city square in central Tel Aviv. It is named after Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated at the conclusion of a massive peace rally held at the square on November 4, 1995.
- The Interdisciplinary College (IDC), Israel’s only private university whose mandate is to cultivate freedom of thought, research, and self-realization. It’s an international school with quality high-tech, political & business programs.
- The Palmach Museum is an exciting multi-media experience exploring the creation of the State of Israel.
- Rehovot Shelanu (Our Streets) - Explore Tel Aviv through a participatory game, navigating the streets of Tel Aviv, while getting acquainted with locations and stories from the city’s past and present.
South
- Visit Hatzerim Air Force Base, home to the national air force museum, and the operational base of various training squadrons.
- Kirot Yamit: In 1979 Egypt and Israel signed an historic peace agreement. Their leaders took tremendous risk, faced strong opposition, and made sacrifices. Kirot Yamit is the location of the transferred remains of an Israeli Sinai city dismantled as part of the land-for-peace agreement. We’ll look at the personal, national & international impact of decisions
- The Changing Map of Israel - an interactive program that traces the history of the Jewish People and their connection to the Land of Israel from ancient to modern times, led by Joe Perlov, president and founder of IsraelExperts. The program focuses on the Arab-Israel conflict and deals with the challenges that face Israeli Jews and Arabs.
Jerusalem Area
- Walk on the rampart walls of the Old City of Jerusalem – and through the underground Kotel Tunnels – and then on to Hezekiah’s water tunnel.
- Visit Neot Kedumim Biblical Landscape Reserve. Grind grain or pick ripe figs while visiting this unique setting. Perfect spot to explore the centrality of Israel in Jewish life. This is a terrific destination for dinner and Israeli folk dancing. Possibility of holding Bat or Bar Mitzvah ceremony here.
- Volunteer at a senior center or soup kitchen.
- Dig deep into history at an archaeological site. Have a hand in discovering Israel's history at Beit Guvrin’s Dig for a Day.
- Bat Mitzvah tour of the Armored Corps Memorial and Tank Museum at Latrun.
- Visit the Knesset or Supreme Court of Israel and explore the challenges facing Israel as a Jewish Democracy.
- Visit Mount Herzl, Israel's military cemetery and the burial place of Yitzhak Rabin, Golda Meir and Theodore Herzl.
- The Davidson Center & Southern Wall Plaza offer a rare opportunity to explore and study the most significant archaeological site in Israel by means of exhibitions and illustrations describing Jerusalem's storied history.
- Visit Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital Trauma Center to view first-hand how Hadassah practices medicine where Jews, Christians and Muslims, secular and religious, work and are cared for in an atmosphere of mutual understanding.
- Security Border tour and briefing regarding Israel’s security frontier in and around Jerusalem.
